DO YOU KNOW YOUR RIGHTS?

TRENTON, NJ- On November 6^th, Mercer County citizens will be heading to the polls to cast their vote for the President of the United States, United States Senate, US House of Representatives, as well as several local school board and municipal races. In other words, there is a lot at stake this Election Day, and it will all come down to who shows up.

Mercer County residents need to know the rules and their rights heading into Election Day, and how to hold their officials accountable throughout the year.

On October 9^th The Citizens Campaign, New Jersey League of Women Voters, Trenton NAACP, and Leadership Trenton are hosting a free forum in Trenton to educate citizens on their legal rights and their personal responsibilities to guarantee their voice is heard on 

November 6^th, and each day after.

Speakers include: Kieanna Childs Alexander, President, Trenton NAACP on “The Power of the Minority Vote”; Kerry Butch, Executive Director, League of Women Voters of NJ on “Registering Voters in Your Neighborhood”; and Heather Taylor, Communications Director at The Citizens Campaign will cover “Know Your Rights on Election Day and Beyond the Ballot.”

The forum will be held at Thomas Edison State College, 101 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ from 6-8pm.
